Both Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic games work on Windows 11, The second one is the easiest it got updated but it can get better by using VULKAN if your card supports that API (WORKS FOR BOTH GAMES AND REALLY FIXES THE FIRST GAME TO BE LIKE THE SECOND GAME) DXVK google it and use the x32 dx9 file and dxgi file place them both into the main root folder with the exe and vola now you got VULKAN support for both games, So Star wars knights of the old republic 2 works off the start cause of being updated to support better resolutions and etc that is easy enough to configure on your own, Let me move on to star wars knights of the old republic 1 this game requires the use of a cracked 1.3 exe so that the program UNIWS to patch the issue with widescreen cause of the lack for support to upgrade grade the game for a permanent fix, Once that is complete launch the game and vola should start up and select your exact monitor resolution and hertz in the graphics options and it will work at the res and hertz and then set all your other graphics settings also keep in mind VULKAN is working with the game as well wich is awesome cause of 2 other issues found, 1 issues being in both games is AMD cards crash when buffer effects are turned on and the VULKAN fix should stop that issue and allow for AMD cards once again to use the screen buffer effect setting, 2 the first game has an issues with UNIWS resolutions and auto play of the movies that play where the user has to alt tab out of the game and back in to trigger the cut scene videos where using DXVK solved that issue completely no more of the annoying alt tab the videos just play automatically with no user input and after the video is done goes right back into the game, DXVK is keeping older gaming alive and helping pave the way of Linux gaming and I am glad that it has came a reality cause the older games are great to go back to for RETRO felling and FUN.Star Wars the arcade game.
